My class is doing a simulation called Empires. It is a simulation where the Babylonians, Hittites, Medes, (I am in the Medes) Persians, and Phoenicians all compete against. Each other to take over the map. Basically, you try to get civilization and do well on the tasks. The tasks also give you civilization points. It is really fun and is one of my favorite simulations that I have done over the years.

For my Tribe Task, I did a slideshow on Mesopotamian writing.
Click here to go to my Tribe Task slideshow.
This tribe task is for ancient Mesopotamian writing. It is supposed to tell you about what writing was like and how it was used back then. In this slideshow, there are different slides for different things. For example, one of them, (as shown in the picture), has information about stories in Mesopotamia. Another one has information about cuneiform.

For my Village Task, I did three paragraphs about the three things I was studying. I also decided to put a picture in for some kind of creative element.
Click here to see my 3 paragraphs and my picture.
This is for my village task. The purpose of this task is to tell the reader about Arts, Architecture, and Public Works. At the bottom of the document, there are links that you can click to go to the sources that used to get my information.

The purpose of making the poster is so I can you can learn it with a creative element. I glued a paragraph, some fun facts, and two pictures that represent Ancient Mesopotamian Goverment.

This is my Empire task.

This is a model Ziggurat that I made.

These 2 pics are an example of one of my cards.
This task is a model of a Ziggurat. A Ziggurat is a Mesopotamian temple that is used to honor the gods. I also made seven cards that tell about different subjects. Five of them tell about gods and one of them tells about Ziggurats. The other one tells about the jobs of priests.
